Tommy Silvester Psychotherapy
Hi there! I'm Tommy Silvester, and I'm glad you’ve taken the time to visit my website. With over 12 years of experience as a therapist, I am dedicated to creating a safe and comfortable space where you can explore your feelings, thoughts, and behaviours without judgment
I believe that therapy should be a collaborative journey focused on you. I work in an integrative way, which means I draw from various therapeutic approaches to best meet your individual needs. At the heart of my practice is a person-centred approach, ensuring that you are at the centre of the therapeutic process.
I have experience working with a variety of presentations, but I have a special interest in Gender, Sex, and Relationship Diversities (GSRD), including LGBTQIA+ issues, kink, compulsive sexual behaviors, and psychosexual therapy. I strive to approach every client with an anti-oppressive perspective, ensuring that your unique experiences and identities are both respected and understood.

I work with adults and minority groups, individuals, couples, and relationships and have worked with young adults 15-17 years. Although I work with individuals of all identities, I have extensive experience working with men and gay relationships, but I also work with clients who identify as female, transgender and non-binary. My aim is to create an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone, regardless of their gender or sexual orientation.
I became a therapist because of my own experiences in life, particularly centred around accepting my queer identity. I’m from the Black Country area and have a deep love for animals. I share my home with both cats and dogs. Additionally, I have a passion for music and identify with the alternative community. I have firsthand experiences of what it is like to be not seen, but therapy really did help me on my own journey, and I am here 12 years on.
